Modifying other properties of an object

The properties of an object can be changed by means of the properties screen of the object in question. Because of the fact that the properties differ per type of object each type of object has its own properties screen. The following properties screens are available in Stamp Album Studio:

Stamp properties
Label properties
Picture properties
Border properties
Line properties
Text properties
Common properties (if objects of different types have been selected).

The easiest way to reach the properties screen of an object is by double clicking the object.

Another way to reach the properties screen of an object is by selecting the object and then choose the option Edit in the main menu and then Properties.... You can also choose the option Properties... in the right mouse menu. In the dialog that will be shown you can change the properties of the object in question. If you press the OK button the modifications will be applied to the object.

Some properties can also be modified by means of the toolbars “Dimensions” and “Formatting".

Modifying properties of more objects at once

In case you want to modify properties of more objects at once, for example, to change the font of several objects, you first have to select these objects. Then you call the properties screen.

The properties screen displayed depends on the type of objects you have selected. If you have selected objects of only one type, for example, only texts, the properties screen of text objects will be shown. However, if you have selected various types of objects a properties screen will be displayed that only contains the properties that the objects have in common.

If you change a field on the screen it will affect all selected objects. So a change in line width causes the line widths of all selected objects to be changed.

It is also possible that a certain property of the selected objects does not have the same value for each object. For example, one object has line width 1 and another has line width 2. The properties screen will then keep the corresponding field blank.

However you can give a value to a blank field. If you choose line width 3 in the example mentioned above, all selected objects, regardless of their original value, will get line width 3.
